More From England

Here are some photos from our first two days with visits to Stonehange, Glastonbury, Bath, and Oxford. Each stop we are met by a tour guide from that specific area. They have been wonderful.

The grounds at Glastonbury Abbey were amazing....lakes, gardens, grassy hills....

The ruins are 2,000 years old. The abbey is the site of King Arthur's tomb.

Bath, has been so far, my favorite place to visit. We toured the Roman baths discovered beneath the modern day street level. The city expanded in the Georgian era and the architecture is stunning in the traditional decorum. It is a beautiful city and no wonder it was declared a world heritage city.

After a delightful walking tour through Bath we had fish and chips and headed to Oxford!

We ejoyed a tour through Magdelena College, one of 38 colleges in Oxford University.

The campus has a deer park, punts for rent along the Themes river, gorgeous botanical gardens and of course stunning architecture.

The lamppost which inspired the beginning of Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe!
