Greetings From England!

We have already had two full days here and we are wiped. I think tonight I shall just share some of the images that we have cherished over the past 48 hours since our arrival and save the narrative and photos about the sites we've toured for a time when I am more wide awake! The students are all calling me "mom"...and we're having a grand time! I will be anxious to share more soon....but here are some of my favorite things about England to wet your whistle!

country manor houses

ducks in ponds (okay, not english per se, but isn't it lovely!?)

tea houses and pastry shops begging for your entrance!

cute bikes with baskets.....the english are so practical and darling at the same time!
brick or cobbled roads, too!

perennial gardens....
Meredith remembered when our Minneapolis backyard was an english garden!

breathtaking landscapes that cover the whole country...
we have agreed that Ian would make a great shepherd!

Doors.....I will have a whole post on doors alone. I love them! Here is one. Beautiful.

flower markets

colorful row houses

charming ivy covered walls everywhere you look,
in the country and in the cities!

Tomorrow I will get to the wonderful history we have encountered and the amazing sites we have toured! We leave Oxford and head to Stratford in the morning! Cheerio!
