Tonight we celebrated Meredith's 16th birthday....her sweet 16!
Ian and I hosted her and her friends at Christopher's for a wonderful evening of french food, lively conversation, good laughs and great fun.
The day Meredith was born we noted her birthstone as being the diamond and said how special it would be to give her her "first" diamond at her sweet 16th birthday!
So it was very fun to find this beautiful necklace at Sundance....

She sure loved it!
Our dinner was wonderful. We started with escargot, a fantastic cheese board, and yam frites.
I enjoyed a most amazing lobster pot pie. Ian had confit of pig's feet in a puff pastry (it had some beautiful fancy french name) with sweet breads. Somebody ordered duck, another lamb....Meredith had gorgeous scallops with a leek sauce.
Dessert was a show stopper!!!
And how nice for the chef, Christopher Gross, to stop by and wish Meredith a happy birthday.
He was very impressed that Meredith
wanted to come to his restaurant for her special occasion.
After dinner - a little frolicking in the Biltmore courtyard
Meredith's friends are wonderful. They are genuinely beautiful girls who love each other and uphold one another. They love Christ and sharpen one another continually.
We enjoyed the evening with them very much.
We will have a family dinner closer to the 21st to celebrate with her siblings.
You are just lovely, Mimi! Happy birthday, sweet girl! Good job, Christine and Ian, on a beautiful evening for your daughter. And happy sixteenth year celebration of becoming parents to you. Sixteen years...wow.
