The Rainbow is Big

David got new markers at the grocery store yesterday. Cool!

So he drew what he usually draws when we get out the markers and paper. . . a rainbow!

Of course, his rainbow was all green.  

That's his favorite color.

All the while a story was brewing in that cute little head of his

So when he was finished, he told his story while I typed it.  Forever saved to enjoy and adore!  Like this story written this past fall.  You'll notice today's story is a bit longer.  And there is {somewhat} of a plot.  So fun to see these language and expressive literacy skills develop!



THE RAINBOW IS BIG

Once upon a time, there was a big rainbow.  The big rainbow got short and he did not know how he got short.  It was probably from a laser.  But then, the laser made him bigger again.  Close to the rainbow but not under the rainbow was a barn and all the animals lived there.  Cows lived there.  Chicks lived there.  Chickens lived there.  And a jaguar lived in the forest.  Jaguars do not live in barns.  He lives by the tree.  He sleeps in the tree, too and when he woke up he ran away.  Diego could not believe that the jaguar ran away.  He needed to catch him.  But he kept running away.  Finally Diego catched him in a net and brought him back.
