Back To School Celebration

We are going into our last weekend of summer.

School starts on Tuesday, with an open house on Monday.

We are utterly thankful that God has planted us in Houston

and lead us to Cypress Christian School.

We are ready for a new school year

and we commit it to the Lord.

We kicked off our last weekend of summer with a

BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY

I had so much fun decorating our party table

{in lieu of decorating a classroom this year}

Even the big kids played along real nice and appreciated the theme!

The kids each wrote their goals for the year

and their personal prayer requests

What a treasure to save these precious papers

written each in their own handwriting

Then we played a fun game of

Back to School Bingo 

Everyone could play this simple game!

Daddy and Claire came out victorious

The pictures were marked with craft poms

And the pictures were associated with darling clues -

I have a foot but no leg

I am called a pair even though you just need one of me

I will help you get off to the "write" start

Using me is sticky business

Next we enjoyed dinner -

homemade pizza and salad

with natural brew root beer in the bottle

yummmmmy! 

Daddy read everyone's goals and prayer requests

and we prayed for our upcoming year

and then there was ice cream....cafeteria style individual servings!

"The Lord has done great things for us
and we are filled with joy!"

It is with great joy and thanksgiving that we begin the 2011-20012 school year.

We rejoice in God's leading us to Cypress Christian School
and look forward to our partnership with them in the training of our children.

May God be glorified and honored in all of their learning endeavors, relationships and activities
. . .wisdom truly does begin with the fear of the Lord.
