A Haboob?

Last night, we pulled into the grocery store parking lot so
Ian could run in for ice cream treats.

While he was inside,
the kids and I watched as the store and everything in the parking lot (including our vehicle)
was swallowed up in the biggest dust storm we had EVER seen.

Driving home we could not see 50 feet in front of us!

And this morning, everything, and I mean everything, has a coat of dust on it!
Oh if would only rain!!!

Come to find out this is called a haboob -
an Arabic word meaning strong wind or phenomenon.

It sure was a phenomenon.
Not seen here in Phoenix for decades we've been told.

The question of the day is this:
Do I wash the patio and the windows today or wait and see what tonight brings?
