Today my preschool class, along with David's preschool class performed the Little Red Hen - a musical! We've been working on our production for a month or so and it was such fun to share with a standing room only audience this morning. Here are the hungry little chicks, all tucked in their nest:

After our production, my friend Stacey came to our classroom and showed the children how flour is ground from wheat. And then she made her beautiful and healthy bread dough from the flour we ground. Each child got to play with some dough. Stacey is amazing! Her 6 month old was hanging out in his stroller and she has her two boys in each of our 2 preschool rooms at PVCP....such a blessing!

Mrs. Barrett showed us a baked loaf of bread. It was beautiful!
And yes, I got the recipe! I haven't ground my own flour in a couple years....and I'm inspired to get out the mill and bake some bread. Maybe this weekend!
We all got to try a slice with jam....David loved it!!! It was a great day in preschool!
