David's Garden

 David has been talking about a garden for a couple weeks now.

Ever since we investigated seeds back HERE

So today was the day.

The day we planted a garden.

David's garden!

We made several stops for seedlings and small plants - 

he did all the picking. . .

sweet peppers and tomatoes

Cucumbers and summer squash!

Given the fact that we were planting in an Earth Box,

I had to say "no", sadly, to his request for watermelon.

And of course, when we saw the blue polk a dot metal watering can. . .

well, we couldn't pass it up.

Every gardener needs a polk a dot watering can!

After he got all the plants in the Earth Box,

he watered it real good!

Over and over again. . .

since it was so much fun with the new watering can!

He was so proud of his accomplishment.

And decided he was well deserving of a little afternoon rest on the chase lounge!

While he watched his vegetables grow.

I did have to convince him to come inside for lunch.

but he had to run out several times to check his 

veggies for any growth.

At days end he has concluded it is going to take a long time for

the vegetables to be ready.  I think he is right about that!

Mmmmmm......can't wait!
