Field Trip to Galveston

The day after Christmas we decided on a field trip and cast votes for one of the destinations we have on our list of places we want to visit in Texas.  It was a cool and cloudy day, so we bundled and headed to the shore in Galveston.

It was an hour and a half drive.

We ferried over to Bolivor Penninsula . . .

Spotted dolphins swimming in the wake of the ferry. . .



We collected a bucketfull of shells and tossed the football around. . .

As you can see, we were the only ones braving the cold windy day on the beach. . .

David chased the seagulls. . .

Then we enjoyed a great dinner at a seafood place along the boulevard and watched the sunset.  

Great field trip for all!
