Warrior Football

Cypress Christian Warrior Football is underway this week!

Peter has been looking forward to this all summer.

He'll be playing on the middle school team as an 8th grader.

As much as I have a hard time with football, I'm kind of looking forward to it, too.

Coach Spenn is amazing.
Before we hit the first practice this week, he had won our respect BIG TIME!

He is a godly man with a passion for football and a passion for discipling young men.

The Warrior Football Philosophy reads as follows:

Football at Cypress Christian is much more than a competitive game that young men play.

It is an intentional curriculum that uses football to build men.

The intent is to produce men that will live with reckless abandon for Christ

in all things at all times;

men that will be the same in puclic as they are in private;

men that will be great husbands and fathers in the future;

men that will learn to build  deep meaningful relationships that will be used

to sharpen each other and hold each other accountable for a lifetime.

Our success will not be measured in wins or loses, but in how well we close the gap

between out potential and our performance as players and as men.

In fact, it will probably take ten years or more to determine

just how successsful this season really will be.

Okay, I think I'm beginning to like football now.
