Farewell SSB; Hello WSB

Meredith bid farewell to her time at the Scottsdale School of Ballet. After her last class on Friday, we captured this picture of Meredith with Donald Dadey and Sybille Acatos Dadey, directors of the school. They have devoted themselves to her training and we are so thankful. Meredith danced at this studio for six years.

We are hoping we can find an academy that is equally as good in Houston.

The good bye was diffucult...
She has great friends there...

and for six years they have spent A LOT of time together. Everyday!

Look how goofy they can be.
These photos were taken at a dress rehearsal for their recent spring performance.

Here is the advanced group with Miss Nadyia Kovtum -
ballet mistress of SSB.

These friends and the whole SSB experience was precious.
Meredith joined as a fifth grader, never having had any ballet.
Now she is a junior in High School in the advanced pre-professional level

. . .and on her way TODAY for a five week intensive at the internationally recognized
Washington School of Ballet in D.C.

She packed everything she needed for a dorm for five weeks in two suitcases, including five new pairs of point shoes..and she had three pairs already broken in to rotate with.

She will be in ballet class 7 hours a day!

We will miss her. But what an amazing experience. She has been looking forward to this for many months. She will grow as a young lady and she will progress rapidly in her training. Pray for her when you think of her. For her safety and good health, wisdom and discernment!

We will move to Houston while Meredith is away.
When she returns from DC we will investigate studios in the new city!

She does not know what she would like to do with ballet right now.
She is taking it a year at a time, enjoying it immensely and dedicating herself with passion.

We are so very proud of our ballerina!
