We have long awaited the spring break visit of the Silburn family from Minnesota. We welcomed them with 100 degree weather! The whole gang was together Friday evening. Of course, we didn't get a photo of us all together which is too bad. Fourteen people move too fast.
What a fun evening we had, though. A yummy dinner enjoyed outdoors, swimming, a bonfire, ice cream cones, a slumber party and.....once the kiddos were all tucked in bed, Sara and I stayed up far too late and had a heart to heart, best friends kind of a night. Cherishing memories. Dreaming together. Loving each other. Upholding one another. Encouraging each in the roles our Father has called us to.
Here are our oldest...Meredith and Cooper.....
we remember when they were babies!
We met Emma Kate for the first time (left) home from China
just weeks before we were home with David.
SHE IS PRECIOUS!
Emma and David...the adorable newest additions to our families. I have blogged about this before (here), but we were in the adoption process for our second time, as were they, without either
of us knowing about it for a time. And we were almost in China at the same time. What a blessing it was to journey together to these two kiddos.....and what a sincere blessing to share in each other's families as they have become enfolded into their forever families.
They really do make a cute couple, don't they???? For the record, we are not opposed to arranged marriages...just saying.....
Silburns, we love you and miss you. We are so thankful for the times we get to see you. For all the stages of life we have shared....they just keep getting better and better. Think of us often as you return to 39 degrees and snow on Monday.
